SGL Bearings Ltd - Delivery Information
SGL Bearings Delivery Charges & Shipping Information
At SGL bearings we believe in transparency of pricing from our product prices to our shipping costs so that our customers are able to make an informed choice. We don’t offer free carriage purely for the reason that the cost has to be built back in somewhere. If it’s not charged out then it has to be charged back in the product cost which means increased product prices. In practice this would mean that the more bearings that you buy, the more you would pay for them. By splitting out the costs you get to see exactly what you are paying and what you are paying for.
We use APC for the bulk of our UK deliveries, they have a strong reputation in the industry for good service and whilst there are cheaper alternatives out there, our commitment to our customers means we want to get more of our deliveries to reach you on time allowing you to plan your work with the security of knowing that the parts you order turn up when you expect them to.
Our current delivery charges are as follows
- UK mainland addresses only excluding Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland. Deliveries are generally next day but aren’t currently guaranteed: £9.95

Other delivery options are available but we have covered the most common options above. Prices for other options are generally calculated as required. These options might include :
- Same day deliveries
- 2nd Class Post or other Royal Mail Options such as signed for deliveries
- Saturday or weekend deliveries
- European or other informational deliveries through couriers such as TNT, Fedex, DHL, UPS
Delivery Options depending on the product type
When you reach the checkout you may see different delivery options to what you were expecting or to what you had seen before. This is because different product ranges will invariably have different delivery methods. O-Rings, V-Belts or oil seals for example which are generally small light products will invariably have different delivery methods to heavier bronze bushes or types of bearing or again heavier roller chain or duplex chain
What is the latest order time for same day despatch ?
If it is imperative that your order is despatched the same day then please check with our office before placing your order online. We cannot guarantee a same day despatch but we generally endeavour to ensure that all orders placed before 4PM are despatched the same day. There may be situations out of our control where orders placed earlier than 4PM can’t be despatched the same day and there may be times where orders received after 4PM can be despatched the same day. If in doubt, please check. If an order is urgent then we will do our upmost to meet your delivery requirements
Shipments are not despatched on Saturday or Sundays so any orders placed after the cut off on a Friday will not be despatched until the following Monday.
There is also the possibility that items might not be available for next day delivery. Whilst we aim to keep our bearing shop updated there may be situations where our stock count is not accurate and therefore incorrect information is synchronised with the website. We undertake regular stock counting exercises to prevent this from happening but in the event that it does happen then we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to explain the situation and provide you with the available options.
What happens if I miss my delivery
If you miss your delivery then a missed delivery card should be delivered to you with information on what to do next. If you do not receive a card then please contact us, we can always provide you with your tracking details so that you are able to contact the courier directly. Normally it is just a case of the courier automatically putting it back out for delivery the following day however there may be situations where a delivery has to be manually re-arranged.
