SKF Mounted bearings and housings

SKF mounted bearings and housings use either a ball or roller type insert bearing along with a housing to support a shaft. The housings can be bolted onto the frame of a machine or piece of equipment. Because of the design of the housings, they for the most part don’t need machining and can be left with a rough cast finish which makes it a cost efficient way for SKF manufacturing processes whilst retaining the performance of the SKF bearing range through the use of the insert bearings.

Mounted bearings are available as :

The units can be supplied with a variety of shaft locking options such as concentric locking collars which are useful for high speed applications where they can reduce vibrations
